It’s a well-known fact in the gymnastics world that the two queens have had a strained relationship since competing together as part of “The Final Five” squad at the 2016 Rio Olympics. When Simone clinched the gold medal in the individual women’s all-around competition, fans noticed that while the stadium erupted in cheers and her teammates also stood up to applaud Simone, Gabby remained seated with a smile on her face.
