Serena Williams and Simone Biles do not need any formal introduction. They are the greatest their sports have ever witnessed. Achievers of tons of records and victories, Serena Williams and Simone Biles have to go through incidents of harsh bullying in their lives.

Simone and Serena have shared their instances of being bullied many times. They see it as the cost of being extraordinary.

Simone Biles got bullied, from her school to social media

Social media and school are the two most common places to get bullied in the contemporary era. Meanwhile, there are many social media campaigns regarding mental health, but that is the same place where it often gets affected.

Biles’ journey of being bullied began parallel to her gymnastics journey, at her school. She told in an interview, “Going to public school, nobody really had a body build that I did, and I was a girl, so the guys would sometimes make fun of me”. As gymnastics needs an abundance of strength and flexibility, Biles worked hard to make her body strong.

She further added, “I think in the gymnastics world, it is your body figure because you get a little bit shy about your body because you are very muscular, But we wouldn’t be able to do the things or achieve the things we did without our bodies so we’re very grateful for them.

Later, when she proved her talent to the world, which is after winning four gold medals in 2016, social media bullying hit her. The talks about her body escalated, and she was called out for her looks. However, Biles gave a fitting reply to her bullies and replied, “You all can judge my body all you want, but at the end of the day it’s MY body. I love it & I’m comfortable in my skin,” a truly GOAT reply. 

Serena Williams’ called out to be born as a guy

Serena Williams needs no introduction. And despite being such a big star globally, she has been bullied in unimaginable ways. She was called to be born a guy just because of her physique.

In her case, it was not just the common public. Even the head of the Russian Tennis Federation referred to Serena and Venus as the “Williams Brothers.
