2024 promises to be a carnival for sports enthusiasts with a multiple of high octane lined up including the Olympics. As track and field sensation Noah Lyles gears up to clinch his first Olympic Gold in Paris, the Tokyo Bronze medalist has his eyes set on another prestigious contest before fulfilling the Olympic gold dream.
New Balance Indoor Games, formerly known as Boston Indoor Games, will kickstart on February 3, and Lyles is all geared up to add to his medal tally in the World Athletics Gold tour. And he believes he has no competition in the 200m category.

In the latest interview with World Athletics, Noah Lyles expressed confidence when asked about his biggest rivals. “I don’t really lose in 200m“, Noah expressed, laughing at the question. He later named himself as his biggest competitor, adding, “I guess myself“. Following the Junior Boys’ International Mile, athletes including Noah Lyles and Gabby Thomas will be signing autographs for fans.

As he boasts, the five-time Diamond League Champion is indeed one of the best in the 200m. Noah holds the record for being the third fastest American on the 200m track with a timing of 19.31 seconds. He has also won the World Championships Gold Medal in the 200m category thrice in 2019, 2022, and 2023 while also being laced with an Olympic bronze from Tokyo 2020. At the 2023 World Championships, Noah became the first man since Usain Bolt in 2015 to win the sprint treble with 100m, 200m, and 4x100m relay golds, and now, he is focused on Olympic gold.

Noah Lyles sets sights on Paris 2024 Gold
Noah Lyles also spoke about his ultimate dream of winning an Olympic Gold medal and this time, he is in rich form and very likely to do so. Speaking about the Paris Olympics, he expressed, “Got some gold medals to get“. However, he isn’t satisfied with just one and has expressed a desire to even go for a treble.

“I was talking to somebody and we go like, oh you gotta go up to 3 gold medals, and I’m like yeah yeah, of course“, the 26-year-old added. He even expressed the desire to go for four, with the advisor believing Noah was exceptional on the 4x400m tracks during his high school days. It would be a dream come true for Noah, and so will it be a glorious moment for America, if Noah strikes quadruple gold at the Paris Olympics in 2024.
