Sha’Carri Richardson shared a video on her Instagram stories, which was a clipping from the Doha Diamond League. The video initially showed her competitors Jackson and Dina competing for the win. However, Richardson, in an astonishing yet brilliantly calculated move, left both of them behind to cross the finish line first. The video was shared by an Instagram account with the name “@lsutrackfield” and they captioned the video as “@carririchardson_ has arrived in Doha‼️ Sha’Carri runs a meet record and world lead of 10.76s (+0.9m/s) to take 🥇 at @dohadiamondleague!”  While sharing the video on her Instagram story, she wrote the text, “I haven’t arrived anywhere, I’ve got better at where I am”.

It is clear that Richardson is sending a message with her story; she means to say that she was never out of the top league of athletes, even if others didn’t count her there. After her suspension from the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, Richardson seems to have bounced back. But according to an interview with the star athlete conducted by NBC Sports, she said, “Y’all say I’m back. I’m not back. I’m better.” Sha’Carri Richardson’s re-iteration of the same sentiment means she is sending a message to the world.
