The Villa De Madrid Indoor Meeting is an annual indoor track and field tournament, now part of the World Athletics Indoor Tour meeting taking place on 23 February 2024. Held in the capital thrice (2020, 2021, and 2022) since its inception in 2016, each time at the Gallur Municipality Sports Complex in the La Latina district. Further, the city’s heritage has been enhanced by athletes’ impressive records, like America’s Grant Holloway (7.29 in the 60-meter hurdles) in 2021 and Venezuela’s Yulimar Rojas (15m43 in the triple jump) in 2020.

The 800-meter, 3000-meter, pole vault, shot put, 60-meter hurdles, and triple jump are scheduled in the men’s division, while the official timetables have not been announced for the World Indoor Tour. The women’s events feature events in the 1500 meters, 60 meters hurdles, high jump, 400 and long jump, promising an interesting and varied lineup. The battle is rigorous and financially lucrative, with huge stakes; each winner will get at least $3,000.

Athletes in the top four in each event receive three bonus points for setting a world record. Automatic intake to the Championships is given to the overall champions in their respective disciplines.
