Recently, the two Winter Games icons were seen enjoying a different sport. On August 29, Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn were spotted at the annual U.S. Open. White, who was there through the official sunscreen brand “La Roche-Posay” of the U.S. Open, posted a picture with Vonn on Instagram with the caption “What a day.”

In the picture, White was posing for the picture alongside Lindsey Vonn, who was seen wearing a purple pantsuit for the game. Further, Shaun White had also posted a video of him enjoying the game and posing in the empty stadium afterward.

Shaun White and Lindsey Vonn, who share an equal love and passion for making powder lines, have developed a great bond over the years and are known for their close-knit friendship.

After their retirement, Vonn recently teased White by claiming to be faster than him at climbing trees. Interestingly, apart from the teasing, the two have also shown their support for each other. In an interview, Lindsey Vonn showed her support for Shaun White whilst sharing her thoughts about his last game at the Beijing Olympics.

In 2022, Shaun White bid farewell to his snowboarding career. The athlete participated in his last big games at Beijing Olympics before hanging up his gloves forever.

Amid the retirement, Lindsey Vonn also shared her thoughts about this decision. Vonn, who highlighted her journey as being similar to the snowboarders, stated, “But I feel like we have been on a similar trajectory for a long time, and it was great to see his final competition at the Beijing Olympics.”
