Talking to viewers on his YouTube channel Jamie O’Brien, the Hawaiian native revealed his upcoming surfing venue, The Banzai Pipeline. Evidently excited, O’Brien opened up about his struggle of waxing a surfboard as he continually waxed one. Additionally, he detailed the characteristic waves to be unpredictable and to be of a height of 5 feet approximately.

The 39-year-old admitted, “Everything’s easy… the pile out is easy… paddling in the way is easy… the only hard part about this day is waxing a board.” Moreover, O’Brien spilled out that it wasn’t fun for him. Moments later, the athlete fearlessly swam into the sea and took over the waves.

The video captioned as, “THE MOST CROWDED I HAVE EVER SEEN PIPELINE,” displayed the extraordinary surfer’s gliding skills. He impressively tackled the mammoth tides. However, there were instances when he slipped right off his board but eventually caught on with the tidal surges.

Jamie O’Brien shared his bizarre surfing encounter

In yet another video, O’Brien recently disclosed one of his grotesque experiences while surfing. He was just 16 years old and had already started gliding his way in the pipeline. On a similar occasion, the then-young surfer paddled out onto the waters and faced a series of waves. However, the third wave wiped him out and the lip struck his leg, resulting in a severe injury.

O’Brien said,“The lips smashed me down and it created like a force and it broke my leg. Sucked over the falls I’m underwater my legs feel numb. I’m grabbing my leg and then it starts just like piercing pain and I’m like oh my god this is so bad.”
