After Vanessa Bryant Lost Kobe Bryant Michael Phelps’ Wife Just Had a Five Word Concerning Question for Him

The untimely passing of Kobe Bryant sent shock waves throughout the world. The sensational basketball player had the world by his fingers with his stunning skills on the court while being an influential personality outside it. Hence, his sudden demise affected many, including Nicole Phelps. With Michael Phelps’ history of depression, she feared for the worst during his tough times. Soon after, she spoke to him about a very sensitive matter.

One can’t imagine how incredibly hard it was for Vanessa Bryant to lose Kobe and Gianna in a tragic accident. During his memorial at the Staples center, Vanessa gave an emotional eulogy about Kobe. This struck a chord with Nicole, who wanted to help Phelps.

Nicole Phelps’ request to Michael Phelps

Hearing the dreadful news, Nicole was worried about her husband. She couldn’t fathom the idea of losing Phelps. So, she wanted to talk to him and help him in whatever way she best could. Hence, she approached Phelps with a tough question.

“After Vanessa (Bryant) lost Kobe, all I could do was look at Michael and be like, ‘Can we please help you? Because if I lose you, I don’t know what I’m gonna do.’ Michael is the most amazing father and partner I could have ever asked for,” said Nicole.

Suffering from mental health struggles himself, Phelps spoke about helping Nicole as well during those tough times.

The relationship between Phelps and Bryant was one to remember. He often went to Bryant for business advice as he was a successful investor. During the 2017 Swimming Golden Goggles awards, Bryant made an effort to get Phelps back to the sport, but he respectfully denied it. To date, it is remembered as a remarkable moment at the awards ceremony.
