When the St. Louis Blues selected Walman in the 82nd round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, he began his career in the National Hockey League. His professional career, however, didn’t get rolling until the 2020–2021 season, when he appeared in 24 games and was outstanding as a defender in every one of them.

Walman played three years of college hockey at Providence College, where he racked up 69 points (21-48-69) and increased his chances of being picked by an NHL club. There was a flurry of activity in the comments section of the Red Wings’ official Facebook page when his legion of devoted followers learned of the contract extension.

The NHL prospect was dealt to the Red Wings from the Blues, and since then, he has become a star in the eyes of his loyal fans. There was a massive outpouring of support and congratulations for the defenseman in the post’s comments section. Here are some comments to prove it.
