A video showcasing the alleged infant killer Alexee Trevizo revealing her cheerleading with an obvious baby bump is going viral. If you are not aware of the context, you may be curious, what’s so special about a pregnant teen dancing?

Well, Alexee Trevizo threw her own baby into a hospital trashcan, killing the poor infant in the process. Her whole defense is the fact that she claims she didn’t know she was pregnant.

Alexee Practicing Cheer before Birth

The New Mexico teen charged with killing her infant child was seen just a few weeks before the incident practicing cheerleading with her team. In the video, along with many other team members, she’s seen stretching and talking to her teammates, with one thing particularly noticeable – her baby bump.

Questions arose on the internet, particularly after looking at this footage. How could anyone in that video, including her, not know that she was pregnant?

This particular footage in question was taken in the campus of Artesia High school, during a basketball game, just a few weeks before she went into labor.

Shaky Defense

Currently out on bail set at $100,000, Alexee’s already shaky defense suffered another blow. According to reports, she secretly gave birth at a hospital in January of this year. She stated that she did not know that she was pregnant, and when she delivered the baby, she panicked and did the first thing that came to her mind, throw the baby in a trash can.

Defense attorney Gary Mitchell is on the case, representing Alexee, had the following to say, in an interview with Inside Edition. “She thought she wasn’t pregnant because she was still having her monthly cycle. And that’s a big issue” 

When questioned about the footage, and asked point blank if that baby bump wasn’t obvious in the video, he said “I don’t make a judgement on that and I can’t make a judgement on that.” He also stated that nobody knows the true story, and all the facts involved in this case.

“They can say whatever they damn well like. Wait until I get them in a courtroom and hear all the rest of the facts. It’s a whole different world.” said the defense attorney, looking confident about the merits of the case.

Some high school friends have claimed that she knew she was pregnant, and had even chosen a name for the baby, according to Daily Mail. They claim that she had named the boy Alex Fierro, while asking for some “serious prison time”
