Angel Reese is walking the fine line between being unapologetically herself and knowing when to pull back. Just a week after her bombshell Victoria’s Secret walk, she announced clear intentions for the ongoing offseason. “Angel, you’ve been mia 😶” A fan had asked. Angel replied, “That was the goal for this offseason🙃Quietly minding my business so everybody won’t mind MINE.” However, regarding her relationship status, Reese is dropping subtle clues. 

The Chicago Sky star has long been rumored to be dating Orlando Magic star Wendell Carter Jr. She has been teasing an official announcement, and this post will go right in that category. Reese shared a series of photos and videos on Instagram with the caption, “rebranding & yes, I got both.” In which she also shared a Twitter screenshot that read “ion post my boo or my money just know i got both.” Notably, Reese also had three photos in the same dump in Orlando Magic gear. 

The Magic-branded photos were probably from when she showed up at their opener against the Miami Heat. It’s not the first time the two have been spotted together. Wendell showed up at the WNBA All-Star Weekend in an Angel Reese Shirt. Beyond just their social media banter and fan analysis of their social media, Reese has probably already given us the biggest hint yet.

At a game against the Washington Mystics this past WNBA season, she was wearing a necklace with three cursive capital letters “W”, “C”, and J” and nothing else. If you did not notice, those are Wendell Carter Jr.’s initials, a coincidence? While this seems to be culminating in an official announcement from the rumored, fans will need to hold their breath a little.

“What you don’t know is what you can’t ruin. Like that’s what I feel like you don’t need to know who I’m with,” Reese said on her podcast ‘Unapologetically Angel’, “ I would never post a man like that until I’m married.” Even in the case of her necklace going viral, Reese pumped the brakes on the fan chatter with a hilarious reply. 

“Women can’t even wear necklaces that stand for Wisdom, Courage, and Joy anymore,” one fan said, prompting a response from the Sky star. “Right?” Reese replied, “Like y’all know I’m one of God’s children.” We don’t know for 100% that Reese and Wendell Carter Jr. are dating. Moving on from her personal life, Angel Reese also posted a reveal regarding further growth in her game. 

Angel Reese Becoming a Three-Point Shooter?

Angel Reese’s game improved by a mile in 2025. Her scoring went from 13.6 points to 14.7 points per game. Reese’s creativity went up from 1.9 assists to 3.7 per game. Her efficiency, the most criticised aspect of the game, went from 39.1% to 45.8% a massive uptick. However, her 3-point shot practically remained non-existent, shooting 0.7 threes a game. That is despite moving into the new point forward position, which she adapted well to otherwise. 

Her latest post included a video where she was seen working on the fundamentals. A crossover followed by her left-handed shot from the outside. It seems Reese is working on expanding her range. For a forward, Reese is not among the top 50 outside shooters in the league. So, it needs some serious work. Reese’s shooting mechanics have always been a point of question. 

However, her second-year growth arc makes fans believe she can expand her range, too. Reese’s talent is immense, and her ability around the board is already elite. Opponents will eventually figure her out and get used to her style of play. It will be difficult to rely on a one-dimensional scoring method. The coaching change at Sky could have played a part in limiting Reese’s growth in this part of the game. But she will need to take initiative.
