Angel Reese was clear on what she wants this offseason. No drama, no controversy, only peace. A few weeks ago, a fan asked, “Angel, you’ve been mia 😶,” she replied, “That was the goal for this offseason🙃 Quietly minding my business so everybody won’t mind MINE.” However, the Chicago Sky star has been dragged into another controversy without her having actually done or said anything.

On the other side in the NBA, Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green was having a tough game against the Pelicans. He missed some shots and grabbed rebounds, or ‘mebounds if you will. Noticing this, a fan named Sam Green repeatedly taunted him with “Angel Reese” chants, along with some other insults around it. Draymond initially found it funny, but after a while went chest to chest against the fan.  The controversy has erupted since, meanwhile, Reese has issued her response to this situation. 

“Angel just be minding her business and then boom she gets brought up into shit that ain’t nothing to do with her,” wrote a fan. Since there is no other situation currently that involves Angel Reese, the fan is highly likely referring to the Draymond Green situation. To which Reese quoted with a 4-word reply, writing, “literally minding my business 🫠”

Draymond himself defended Reese in his podcast after the game. “I knew exactly what you were talking about. It’s fine. By the way, to use Angel Reese’s name as a negative connotation, I really don’t like that for the young queen because of what she’s done to become who she is. And so I really don’t like that in itself,” He said. Even the NBA swooped in to warn Green after this altercation, per Shams Charania. 

It seems Reese herself does not want anything to do with the situation. The trolling or the insults don’t affect her anymore. The ‘mebounds’ insult, which was being implied in the case of Draymond, has long been monetized by Reese. She trademarked that and has earned in “six figures”. Reese also named one of the colorways of the Angel Reese 1s as Mebounds. 

They have already been worn in the NBA by Houston Rockets star Tari Eason. After watching her name get turned into a punchline courtside, Reese is applying the same playbook to her love life that she uses with trolls. She is keeping the noise outside, the circle tight, and only letting the world in on what she’s ready to make official.

Wendell Carter Jr Refuses To Confirm Angel Reese Dating Buzz

Angel Reese has long been said to be dating Wendell Carter. The talk ignited when Carter Jr appeared in an Angel Reese shirt at the 2025 All-Star Weekend. The two were spotted embracing the WNBA star. Since then, there have been hints all around the couple. Reese reposted one of Carter Jr’s dunks and even referred to him as “boo”. Following up on that, her rumoured partner has teased an official announcement. 

“That’s the homie for sure,” Carter said when asked whether he and Reese are dating. Carter Jr. added, “We’re locked in.” It’s all but confirmed, but not yet made official by either one. He further revealed that it will be revealed when they want it to be. “Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out. We’ll just leave it at that. That’s my girl, though,” he added. Reese herself has done something similar in the past via her Instagram. 

Reese shared a series of photos and videos with the caption, “rebranding & yes, I got both.” In which she also shared a Twitter screenshot that read “ion post my boo or my money just know i got both.” That basically had fans connecting the dots. But why are both avoiding making their rumoured relationship public? 

“What you don’t know is what you can’t ruin. Like that’s what I feel like you don’t need to know who I’m with,” Reese said on her podcast Unapologetically Angel, only to add, “ I would never post a man like that until I’m married.” We don’t know what Carter’s take on this is, but it seems their official relationship status will be under wraps for now.
