Richard Williams is now 80 years old and has been out of the spotlight for a few years now. It was also previously alleged that he was suffering from ‘irreparable brain damage’ and ‘dementia’, as per court documents in Florida.

Richard’s failing health was justified by the court documents from the divorce case with his ex-wife Lakeisha Williams. Richard Williams’ son, Chavoita LeSane, who is also his power of attorney, has said that ‘King Richard’ is now doing “much, much better” after he underwent surgery in Miami, Florida.
Chavoita told the U.S. Sun: “He’s definitely okay and happy. After he had the stroke I lived with him for about two years, maybe a little longer. The doctors in Miami did an amazing job, especially with his neuralgia/brain surgery.”

Richard underwent microvascular decompression (MVD) that is known to work for patients with abnormal compression of a cranial nerve. It helps treat trigeminal neuralgia, glossopharyngeal neuralgia, or even hemifacial spasm. The surgery involves splitting open the skull and pushing in a sponge between the artery and nerve, stimulating the pain receptors.
