“Can’t Get a Tennis Court”: Emma Raducanu Reveals Increasing Interest in Tennis After Her US Open 2021 Win

18-year-old Emma Raducanu recently emerged as the champion of the US Open 2021. The youngster played some phenomenal tennis and defeated Leylah Fernandez in straight sets to win the Grand Slam. The final scoreline of the match was 6-4, 6-3.
In a recent interview to Good Morning Britain, Emma Raducanu revealed a stunning fact. When the anchor highlighted that after her victory at the US Open 2021, nobody in Great Britain is able to book a court, not even one of his close friends, Raducanu gave a pretty shocking response.

“I can’t get a tennis court either!” said Raducanu in the interview and started laughing.
It is a proud moment for Raducanu’s entire nation and everyone is now looking forward to playing tennis. The interest in the sport at such an extent that even the the US Open 2021 champion is not able to book a court for herself.

Raducanu became the first qualifier in the history of tennis to win a Grand Slam title. Interestingly, she didn’t drop a single set and if one includes her three qualifying matches, she won 20 sets in a row, without any of her sets going into a tie-breaker.
The 18-year-old is the youngest to win a Grand Slam since Maria Sharapova won the Wimbledon Championships 2004 at the age of 17. She is also the first British woman to win the US Open title since Virginia Wade in 1968.
