18-year-old Emma Raducanu broke into headlines after winning the US Open 2021 title. She defeated Leylah Fernandez in straight sets to conquer the trophy in New York and played some brilliant tennis there.

Raducanu created history after she became the first qualifier to ever win a Grand Slam. Interestingly, she did so without dropping a set throughout the tournament.

After her US Open 2021 success, Raducanu is likely to become a member of the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club. If this happens, she will be the youngest member of the club and thus, it is a big milestone for her.

Generally, the All England Club grants its membership to only those players who have won the Wimbledon Championships. However, the British star can be an exception as she performed brilliantly in New York and brought glory to her nation. She is expected to join the club by the end of this year.

Raducanu will begin her Indian Wells 2021 campaign against Aliaksandra Sasnovich today. She is entering the tournament as a wildcard player and it is her first tournament since the US Open 2021.
