With just a few days left for the WTA Finals, the top eight female players have made it to Mexico, which is playing host to the year-ending championship. The likes of Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek have qualified for the tournament that promises to be a mouth-watering one. Before the commencement of the event, players made a glamorous appearance at the pre-event bash. During that event, the American tennis sensation, Coco Gauff, drew a bizarre Zendaya analogy.

During the pre-event bash before the WTA Finals, players were asked to name a dream celebrity plus-one whom they would walk the red carpet with. The top eight players of the season had interesting answers, with Gauff’s response catching eyebrows.
Replying to that question, Gauff said, “Zendaya, oh, actually I don’t know. She looks so good, she might make me look terrible. No, Zendaya, I mean, if I look bad, she’d look good for both of us.”

Zendaya and Gauff also have a common connection in the form of legendary coach Brad Gilbert. While the latter is a consultant of Gauff, he also helped Zendaya train for her movie Challengers.

The American youngster truly enjoyed getting praise from top celebrities in the world. During an interview, she opened up about having the eyes of Hollywood on her and how she felt about it.
Talking about it, Gauff said, “I’ve been able to enjoy it a lot. It’s still very surreal to me. Certain aspects and certain people and our celebrities kind of know who I am.” Further, she added, “I mean, you know, Zendaya is doing a tennis movie, and she follows me and I was like freaking out. And Samuel L. Jackson obviously.”
