Going down memory lane, one can recall the transition of Serena Williams from clay to grass. Unlike the majority of players, Serena has always preferred to enter the Wimbledon Championships without playing any build up grass court tournament.

Gauff considers Serena as her idol and wishes to walk in her footsteps. However, she prefers to not reciprocate Serena’s transition from French Open to Wimbledon. Preparing for Wimbledon, Gauff is currently in Berlin competing at the WTA 500 Bett10 Open.
