The semifinal clash of the local favorite Gauff is not falling her way. The bout was postponed in the first set due to rain when Gauff was leading 4-3. As the second set began, another rain delay took place and Gauff called for medical assistance.
One fan wrote on ‘X’, “Doesn’t feel good 🤕 Coco Gauff 🇺🇸 requested medical assistance after finishing the first set because she felt dizzy and a little nauseous. They are taking your blood pressure.”

Another person commented on a video of hers which showed Sakkari winning the first set due to Gauff launching a forehand way beyond the baseline. They hoped that Gauff would win the game and that the rain delay would give her enough time to recover and come back to her usual form.
