Venus Williams has returned to the sport after the 2023 US Open. She is playing in the Indian Wells Masters and aims to go deep in the tournament. However, the weather is not on her side, as her match has been postponed. Regardless, Queen V is not sitting in her room waiting for the skies to clear. Instead, she is interacting with her fans.

Williams is not the only player who saw her match delayed. Many players had to stop their bouts as the weather worsened over time. Caroline Wozniacki was one of them and said that conditions were unplayable. Williams is out making the most of it.

Since the 2023 US Open, fans have been waiting for Venus Williams to return to the court. She finally ended their anticipation as she announced a return to the BNP Paribas Open. Sadly, fans will have to wait more as the seven-time grand slam champion’s bout with Nao Hibino has been delayed due to bad weather.

While she waits for the weather to clear up, Williams spends her time becoming familiar with her fans. A fan found her talking to some fans and shared the picture of her in her warm-up attire on their social media with the caption, “Caught Venus herself casually talking to fans before her match. 😍“. As usual, Queen V was smiling as she talked to her followers.

Unfortunately, Williams is not the only player who has to wait for the weather to clear. Three bouts were in play before hers, and all had to be delayed due to bad weather and unplayable conditions.

Caroline Wozniacki comments on the conditions in Indian Wells

She has been playing in 2024 since the season began but has only won once. Wozniacki hopes to turn her season around at the Indian Wells Masters, but the wind is making it difficult to play. She won her first set in her opening-round match before it was paused.

She stated, “It’s impossible to play in this wind“. Not only Wozniacki’s match but also two other battles have been postponed owing to the windy conditions in Indian Wells.

While the players have to wait for the weather to clear for their match to continue, Williams has to wait for clear weather to start playing her match. Both are aiming to win their opening rounds to turn their season around. Will they manage to achieve the glory they need?
