Serena Williams gave it all during her comeback match at the Wimbledon Championships 2022. Yesterday, she lost out to France’s Harmony Tan in a thrilling first-round encounter to bow out of the grass-court Grand Slam tournament.

It was the American legend’s first singles match after exactly a year. Over the past year, the former World Number 1 had been troubled by injuries that kept her away from the tennis court. Nonetheless, it didn’t look like she was away from the sport as she produced a gritty display before bowing out of the tournament. Following her defeat, the 40-year-old opened up about her desire to play at home.

However, she came back strongly to break Tan’s serve in the fourth game of the opening set. At 5-5, Serena lost her serve, which proved to be a turning point as she lost the set 7-5.
