How did Serena Williams affect this move?
Alexis Ohanian made people aware of it. He gave his wife, Serena Williams, for introducing him to this concept. He stated, “Admittedly, I had no idea what cord blood banking was until 5 years ago, when my wife introduced me to the concept before our daughter was born. Basically it is the process of securely and safely storing the cord blood (the umbilical cord and blood after a baby is born) so those critically important stem cells can be saved for future new use for the baby or a sibling.”

He announced through his Instagram, “Today we are proud to announce our investment in @anja.health, a company whose mission is to create affordable access to cord blood banking”.
Serena leading by example
Both the parents have focused on the health and proper well-being of their daughter, Olympia. Serena Williams herself plays tennis with her daughter. She spends quality time with her which gives her a strong upbringing. Serena leads by example and has shown her resilience both on and off the court. The player has dropped a hint of her playing the Wimbledon this year.
