Coco Gauff is one of the few players who set fire to the tennis world at a very young age. At just 15, Gauff defeated Venus Williams in the opening round of Wimbledon. Ever since Gauff has attracted sponsors like Moths to lights. Her current sponsors for her footwear are New Balance, who have profited immensely off of the young American player. They currently have five shoes in their line-up, which have been hugely successful. The two further expand their collaboration. Gauff and New Balance have come out with a new pair of shoes in time for the upcoming Wimbledon.

While Gauff has devoted her life to tennis, her love for sneakers can give her passion a run for its money. The American sensation signed on with New Balance when she was just 14. Then in 2022, the two signed on a long-term deal and came out with signature shoes, which launched Gauff to new heights.
Coco Gauff and New Balance announce vintage pair
As Wimbledon comes closer and closer, Gauff and New Balance just dropped immense news for their fans. The American sensation and the American shoe brand announced a new pair of shoes, which will be a part of the CG1 line-up. The news was shared on the New Balance Tennis Instagram page with a picture of Coco Gauff holding their ‘New Vintage’.

Gauff’s love of ’90s culture and fashion served as the inspiration for Coco CG1. The post included the caption, “@cocogauff reveals The Coco CG1′ New Vintage.’ Dropping June 30th, 2023. The first of its kind.” Interested buyers can purchase the shoes on the New Balance website.
New Balance raked in a record revenue of $5.3 billion in 2022. The brand has grown faster than a majority of its competitors, including Nike and Adidas. With continued growth, we could see more shoes in the Coco CG1 line.
Gauff’s first signature shoes
New Balance and Coco Gauff signed their first deal in 2022. A short while after they joined hands, Gauff was seen wearing her signature shoes. The pair were typical black sneakers with shimmering Red and Green lightning designed to complete the aesthetics. With Gauff ranked 4 at that time, New Balance experienced a major bump in popularity.
New Balance has designed sneakers for NBA stars such as LeBron James and Michael Jordan. With Coco Gauff on their side as well, they are on track to take over Nike and Adidas as the first choice in everyone’s minds.
