Former World No. 5 Eugenie Bouchard has had the potential to become a great tennis player. However, for many years now, injuries and inconsistent performance has pushed her out of the limelight. Nevertheless, the Canadian is working immensely to make a stunning comeback on the tennis tour.
At the Abierto Zapopan 2021, Bouchard reached the final but lost the title to Sara Sorribes Tormo. This remains her best run of the season so far. Afterward, the Canadian entered the Monterrey Open in mid-March and suffered an opening-round exit.
Notably, the 27-year-old injured her shoulder and has not returned to the tennis court since Monterrey. Moreover, she underwent arthroscopic shoulder surgery and is currently rehabbing for the same. The good news is she will now take to the court with a new partner.
