“Really Admire Serena Williams”: Naomi Osaka Reveals Her Role Models in Tennis

World No.3 Naomi Osaka recently signed a number of endorsement deals. Over the past two years, the Japanese player has truly become an ambassador of the sport. In a recent interview, Osaka talked about her initial days of playing tennis and unveiled her role models.
“I’m someone who grew up playing tennis and wanted to become good enough to play on a global scale and somehow, I did it,” said the three-time Grand Slam winner in a recent interview.
Thus, it has become quite clear that Naomi Osaka had that spark in her right from the beginning. She dreamt of becoming a big tennis player one day and her dream actually came true even though she is just 23 years old today. In the same interview, the Japanese star also revealed her idols.

“My family will of course always be my number one influence, and I really admire Serena Williams,” added Osaka.
Osaka undoubtedly loves her family, and it continues to serve as her backbone. However, she also said Serena Williams has always been a source of inspiration for her.

Osaka also mentioned that she has had quite a few role models in her life. She believes that it is good to have many since it helps to adopt unique traits from each one of them and then grow as an individual.
“I have quite a few role models actually. Having many role models is great because you can draw traits from each of them and build your own ideal,” concluded the US Open 2020 winner.
