Serena Williams had an eventful US Open 2018 campaign. Eyeing a record-equaling 24th Grand Slam title, the American legend reached the final of that tournament and was due to face Naomi Osaka in the summit clash. However, her match against the Japanese star was marred by controversy.

The match involved Serena clashing with the chair umpire, Carlos Ramos. As a result, she received a code violation that cost her a point and a game at a crucial juncture in the match. The former World Number 1 eventually went on to lose the match 6-2, 6-4. Following that incident, Vince McMahon’s daughter had an interesting wish regarding Serena.
