Naomi Osaka made a strong comeback after ousting former grand slam winner Angelique Kerber of Germany. She will now play in the third round. The player gave credits for her serve to the Aussie player Nick Kyrgios who also has been moving forward in the Miami Open tournament. He defeated fifth seed Andrey Rublev in an astounding match.

Naomi had practiced with the Australian player in Los Angeles and she tried to imitate his serve during her match. When asked about it, Nick Kyrgios accepted giving advice to her. He mentioned, “When you start overthinking on your serve, that’s when things start to get complicated, so just take your time.Nick was happy with her performance and made an observation about it. Kyrgios said, “I think she started sliding her foot up, a better way to get momentum rather than stepping up.” He summarized happily by saying, “Everyone knows what she’s capable of. I’m glad she took the serve out of my book and nothing else.”

Nick Kyrgios rained compliments for Osaka and acknowledge her contribution to the sport. The Australian player showed his discontent towards the people in the crowd for demoralizing the players. This was regarding the heckling incident that took place in the Indian Wells in which the Japanese player was immensely affected. She has recently made it public that she has started to see a therapist and feels better now.

Nick Kyrgios’ serving style

We have seen Nick Kyrgios serving outrageous tricks while serving. One of the famous ones is when he served between his legs in the Australian Open. The entire world sat and gaped at that moment. Eventually, he was asked about his serving style, to which he said, “my serve is the one thing I have barely practiced in my entire life”. He admitted the fact that his serve is natural for him and that he does not practice it much. Nick Kyrgios’ unpredictable and aggressive serve comes naturally to him.

Naomi Osaka is happy with her performance. She had breezed past the Australian player, Astra Sharma, in the first round. She defeated Angelique Kerber with a score of  6-2, 6-3 in the second round. Naomi would now face Karolina Muchova in the third round. On the other hand, Nick Kyrgios will be facing Fabio Fognini in the next round. Both the players are in excellent form and we expect to see great on-court action in further games.
