Why didn’t Serena Williams join the centenary celebration at Wimbledon?
Serena Williams had asked for five courtesy cars to be used during the Wimbledon Championships. However, she was denied that. It was because she wanted them after the 24-hour window after a player has been knocked out from the tour. As per the report’s claims, the American player wanted five cars for herself. These were for her husband, her sister, her mother, and her coach.
The source said, “She was told that was not possible because they had to be used by the other players. She was not happy. Maybe that’s why she refused to take part in the centenary parade.” The authorities supposedly grants each player one courtesy car during the tour.
