After having a splendid 2020 season, World No. 4 Sofia Kenin will begin her next season at the WTA 2021 in Abu Dhabi. The tournament has given her the time to prepare for the Australian Open 2021. There will be a fair amount of pressure on her as she will enter Melbourne as the defending champion.
Recently, Kenin was asked a question about the Australian Open 2021 about whether its postponement would act as an advantage or disadvantage for her. The American quickly responded and said that it would certainly act as a plus point for her.
“For sure advantage. It’s gonna be exciting. But of course different pressure since I’m like the defending champion,” said Kenin to Essentially Sports at a pre-event press conference in Abu Dhabi.
