During one of the editions of the Wimbledon Championships, the former World Number 1 happily accepted the request from a senior fan for an autograph after the match. The fan, who was shaking while Serena signed an autograph for him, had a gentle smile on his face. Serena opens up about her former coach Patrick Mouratoglou

During an interview, the 23-time Grand Slam champion drew parallels between her father and Mouratoglou’s coaching methods. Talking about this, she said, “When I met Patrick, I wasn’t looking for a new coach, I was just looking for some advice and I loved what he said and he had a very similar coaching style to my dad and he didn’t try to change my game.”

Moreover, she added, “He just enhanced things that already knew…”

Earlier this year, Mouratoglou ended his long-time partnership with Serena. Since then, he has joined Simona Halep’s team as her coach.
