Arguably, one of the greatest female tennis players of all time, Serena Williams, has been out of the tour for almost a year now. The legendary American tennis star had an injury setback at last year’s Wimbledon and since then she has been on the sidelines. However, she seems to be gearing up for her comeback as she shared a recent video of working out in the gym.

Currently, 23-time Grand Slam champion, Serena Williams is still on a hiatus as she is recovering from her injury. However, she recently dropped a hint of making a potential comeback at this year’s Wimbledon. Gearing up for her comeback, the younger Williams sister showed a glimpse of her day at the gym through a video. In that video., we saw her posing in front of the mirror inside a gym. Safe to say, she looked incredibly fit.

However, following a prolonged break from the tour, it remains to be seen if Serena is match fit once she makes a comeback.
Serena will miss the French Open, as she is eying a return to her favorite Grand Slam
After missing the majority of the last season, Serena should be keen to make a comeback on the tour. Recently, through a social media post, she revealed her plans of making a potential comeback to the tour at Wimbledon, her favorite Grand Slam.

Incidentally, she won the tournament seven times in her career. Also, she won the doubles and mixed doubles tournament multiple times at All Englan Club as well. In 2019, she had a great chance to win her 24th Grand Slam final, as she reached the final at Wimbledon. Unfortunately, Simona Halep stood in her way and denied Serena the opportunity to equal the record for the most number of Grand Slam titles.
Coincidentally, Serena’s coach, Patrick Mouratoglou, parted ways momentarily to become the new coach of Simona Halep. However, that could be a temporary change, as the Frenchman could return to coach Serena during Wimbledon if she manages to return to the tour.

Nonetheless, with age not on her side, it remains to be seen how Serena once again copes with the grinds of the tour.
