Gauff the ‘full football fan’ tweeted, “i’m a football fan now. wow probably best sporting event I’ve watched. So many emotions.” Fans quickly brushed aside the message behind the tweet and pointed out the word “football” in her tweet.

Gauff had an exemplary season this year. It included some of the best performances of her professional career thus far. However, Gauff’s impressive 2022 season came to an end with the longest losing streak of her young career—five matches.
