For many months, the possibility of seeing McIntyre out of WWE has been considered, as it seemed that Drew had no intention of renewing his contract, so the idea of seeing the Scot in AEW had been considered. And, as confirmed by Fightful, WWE added time to the Scot’s contract due to his periods of inactivity due to injury, extending the validity of it until after the great event. It should be recalled that the media itself reported last year that McIntyre’s contract was expiring before WWE’s big annual event.
