AEW Superstar Shawn Spears Removed From Roster After Controversial Promo

While the former superstar’s return drew a lot of reactions from all across the wrestling media, he is back for a reason.

Shawn Spears broke silence after his monumental WWE comeback

Shawn Spears made a name for himself in his initial WWE run, but still, he couldn’t reach his full potential receiving defeats in most of his matches. After a lot of back and forth, Spears decided to walk out of the company in a bold move.

Shortly after cutting ties with the Stamford-based promotion, he came to AEW with a new gimmick. But unfortunately, here also, he remained heavily under-used in the TV. So, he resumed his WWE run again tonight, and not with a proper exposure. Following his entry segment, the cameras spotted Spears spilling a truth. He noted, “I like Ridge Holland. But he’s been lying to himself for far too long. That jolted pain that is currently coursing through his body is simply the truth. That’s why I struck Ridge. The truth can bring you to your knees and that’s why Shawn Spears is now in NXT.”
