AEW’s “All In” event marked a significant moment in the company’s history, but it also became a turning point due to a backstage altercation involving CM Punk and Jack Perry. This incident ultimately led to CM Punk’s termination by Tony Khan, the owner of AEW. Tony Khan also made a statement that Punk made him fear for his life. Since then he has been facing backlash from many people.

However, WWE Hall of Famer, Road Dogg on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast said that maybe people should have considered the perspective of the AEW President.

He also urged understanding Khan’s reaction, “Everybody attacking the dude is like, you see him, you know who he is, you know what he is? He’s not one of the performers. He’s not on his father’s soccer teams or football teams, or you know what I mean? Like he’s a kid that grew up loving wrestling and was very protected. And then he saw two dudes almost go ahead and try to pull each other’s eyes out or whatever.” Road Dogg urged people to understand Khan given the intensity of the situation and the fact that Khan is not a performer.

Tony Khan comes under radar

Recently, Eric Bischoff shared his thoughts about Tony Khan’s leadership in AEW. Bischoff, a former WCW President and WWE employee, has been having a strange exchange with the AEW President for a few weeks. He criticized Khan’s product, Khan replied, and then Bischoff responded. This drama between them keeps going. On a recent episode of his podcast, 83 Weeks, Bischoff continued to criticize Tony Khan, this time comparing him to a teenager with lots of money.

Another WWE alumnus Vince Russo had openly questioned Tony Khan in the past. According to him, Khan genuinely believed professional wrestling resembled his childhood action figures coming to life.

Russo, renowned for his candor, discussed Khan’s grasp of the wrestling business. He pointed out that in his wrestling days, wrestlers usually kept their problems private, instead of airing them in public.
