Keeping such instances in mind, MJF, via his official Twitter handle, shared a tweet about the risks that are involved while performing inside the ropes. He deleted the tweet shortly after posting it on Twitter. But a screenshot of his now-deleted tweet is making rounds all over the social media platforms.

Friedman starts by mentioning that fans’ desire to see more from the pro wrestlers pushes them to deliver more inside the ring. Pro wrestlers are highly passionate about their job. So, in order to leave an impression in their fans’ minds, they often indulge in ‘high-risk maneuvers’ that can lead to deadly consequences.

He asks his fellow wrestlers to realize that fans who sit in the audience or watch them perform through a TV screen don’t realize the impact of even a simple maneuver, let alone a high-risk one. A line in his tweet read, “Wrestlers, the fans don’t understand that at any given point we can be paralyzed from the neck down. Or even die from a maneuver as simple as a body slam.”

He adds fans will always demand more from their stars. But it is a pro wrestler’s job to protect himself while performing inside the squared circle. So he asks the wrestlers to not act “stupid” for the sake of audience entertainment. Because a silly mistake can cost them their precious life.

He advises the pro wrestling stars to act wise while performing and keep themselves safe during their matches. “Go in that ring with the intention of winning the match. And leaving the ring the same way you entered it. Get the winner’s purse and get out,” he said.
