“Irredeemable”: Jeff Hardy Knocked Out by Botched Knee to the Head On AEW Rampage Taping, Fans Blame Sammy Guevara

During last night’s AEW Rampage tapings following AEW Dynamite, Jeff Hardy and Sammy Guevara competed in a no-disqualification match. This was Guevara’s first match after the Battle of the Belts IX show last month. During the match Guevara attempted a Shooting Star Press from the top turnbuckle and Hardy managed to get his knees up, but Guevara’s leg inadvertently hit “The Charismatic Enigma’s” head in a nasty-looking spot.

This botch raised concerns among the fans about Hardy’s well-being and they took to social media to express their concerns with Guevara coming under fire. T

A user on X shared the clip of the moment when Sammy Guevera climbed on the top rope and performed a shooting star press on Jeff Hardy, who was lying in the center of the ring. However, the landing was botched. Guevara’s left knee struck Jeff Hardy’s head and he seemed to have been knocked out while the referee checked on him.

According to Fightful Hardy was initially feared to have suffered a broken nose, and the former WWE Champion will undergo concussion tests as well. The clip of the incident made fans furious, as this wasn’t the first time that the ‘Spanish God’ had injured a superstar.

At AEW All Out 2020, Matt Hardy hit his head on concrete as he faced a bad bump after spearing Sammy Guevara from the top of a crane to a table. The match was stopped for a few minutes, although Matt finally decided to end the fight quickly but was later hospitalized.

Guevara was also heavily criticized during the build-up to the rivalry due to a spot with a chair with which he opened a big gap in Matt Hardy’s head in the middle of AEW Dynamite.

This recent botch with Jeff Hardy left the fans furious and they called out the former TNT Champion.

“Stop pretending he’s Ricochet” Fans are mad at the ‘Spanish God’

Taking to the comment section of the video, fans not only criticized Guevara but also called out Tony Khan. A fan questioned Tony Khan’s decision to put Jeff Hardy in such a physically intense match.

Another fan has lost all his hopes in the ‘Spanish God’ and called him “irredeemable.” After Guevara’s botch against Matt Hardy, fans criticized him but he hit back by saying, “There’s a reason I’m doing this dangerous thing, and they’re watching this dangerous thing.”

 

This fan believes that Guevara is trying to act like WWE’s Ricochet.

One fan questioned the logic behind the spot and questioned why Jeff Hardy agreed to do it with Guevara.

 

A fan seemed to have enough of Sammy Guevara botching a move yet again.

Fans are mad and Guevara has possibly landed the second Hardy brother in the hospital as well. With age against him, putting Hardy in such matches is surely a questionable decision that will be raised by the fans against Tony Khan.

But, for now, fans would be hoping that Hardy did not suffer a serious injury and is able to recover soon.
