In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Matt Hardy talked about all things wrestling. From a Mania return to his AEW contract. But one question that piqued the interest of fans is how long will the elder Hardy continue to compete? Well, answering the question, Matt Hardy revealed that he still has some fight left in him. He said, “I think a couple more just depending on how my body feels. And like the way I said my body felt over the winter break and it was so good. Even it was weird. I was feeling so good and so healthy. When Sting had an injury and he wasn’t there and they ended up doing Jeff versus Darby. And then Jeff had some singles matches for a few weeks and just during that time I was like ready. That’s when I’d start dieting and I was trimming down and I was ready to like get in the ring and start rock and roll whatever.”

He further added, “It’s just I’ve had time off. but just the way my body felt so good during that time. That makes me feel like I can go for a little bit longer but I would love to do another two years. Especially if I’m capable because I feel like I don’t have to do the things the young guys do. As long as I can go out there and be competitive and do my stuff.” Well, it surely looks like we will get to see more of Hardy for the foreseeable future.

Maybe what boosts him is what happened seven years ago around the same time he was a free agent. When he and his brother Jeff appeared as the surprises at WrestleMania 33. In a different interview, Matt Hardy reflected on the historic moment at WrestleMania 33. He referred to the scenario several times as “surreal.” In addition, he was surprised when the crowd chanted “Delete!”. A catchphrase he had adopted in his TNA days. That too, just a few days before this appearance. But how likely is it for him to leave AEW?
