AEW’s WrestleDream was a dream come true for most pro wrestling fans as their favorite superstar Edge made his debut at the PPV. The Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle had a small crowd but the deafening cheers of the fans definitely made up for the paltry attendance numbers. As Edge begins his new journey in AEW, his first match has already been decided and it’s not against his long-time tag team partner Christian.

Edge will be wrestling an ex-WWE star who has been wreaking havoc lately in AEW.

Edge’s first match will be against Luchasaurus

Edge’s last match in the WWE was against his best friend Sheamus in front of his home crowd of Toronto. That match took place at Edge’s 25th anniversary celebration on SmackDown and he emerged victorious that night. Post that match, Edge told his fans that he would go back to his family and discuss his future in the WWE.

Fast forward to 1st October and Edge has made a concrete decision to join AEW. At AEW’s PPV WrestleDream, Christian and Luchasaurus dished out some vindictive punishment to Darby Allen post the main event. However, that is when Edge decided to intervene as he made his thunderous debut. Fans and more so, Christian and Luchasaurus expressed their shock at the turn of events as they didn’t know whose side the former WWE star allied with.

Those doubts didn’t hang in the balance for long as Edge attacked Luchasaurus and speared him right into the chair. Thus announcing his arrival in the AEW. And news has now emerged that Edge’s first-ever match in AEW will be against Luchasaurus.

Bryan Alvarez who is the editor and publisher of Figure Four Weekly reported about Edge’s first-ever match in AEW. He tweeted, “October 10th Tuesday Dynamite show is Adam Copeland vs. Luchasaurus”. This announcement has got fans crazy excited as they can’t wait to see Edge in action in the ring again.
