Slightly after giving birth to her daughter, Rousey came back to the ring. Though she took her baby girl everywhere she went, she couldn’t give her undivided attention because of her busy work schedule and professional commitments. This was one of the reasons behind her leaving WWE.

She wants to take a break from her professional life and invest more effort and time into her personal life. Earlier this week, TMZ Sports caught up to Rousey in Los Angeles where they asked her about her future plans. Since Rousey recently appeared in ROH, the question was whether she was interested in joining AEW since Tony Khan owns both companies.

She replied, “No, no, I don’t think so.” She then added, “Just trying to be home with the family, and be a full-time mom.” Rousey has a well-accomplished career in not only pro wrestling but in all of the combat sports. It makes sense now that she wants a break to focus more on her daughter.

As mentioned before, the last time pro wrestling fans saw Rousey perform inside the ring was at Ring of Honor, which is owned by AEW.

On November 17, fans went wild when a familiar theme music played in the ROH arena. Rousey had just left the Stamford-based promotion stating that she had retired, but rumors were rampant that she might land in Tony Khan’s promotion, AEW.

At a Lucha VaVoom event held on October 26, 2023, Rousey made a comeback from retirement and joined forces with Marina Shafir to secure a victory against her trainer Brian Kendrick, and Taya Valkyrie. She then teamed with Shafir and faced the team of Athena and Billie Starkz at Wrestling Revolver on November 16, 2023.
