After months of anticipation, the WWE Universe finally received its answers about The Boss. Sasha Banks aka Mercedes Mone made her first in-ring debut after 10 months of injury at the AEW Big Business event. After her last match against Willow Nightingale at NJPW Resurgence 2023, she’s back in action. Her fans came in support of the live event at the TD Garden, in Boston.

While some WWE fans may have been disappointed, true supporters did not care. Not only did her loyal fans stand by her, but her close friends also showed support. Former co-stars Naomi, Tamina Snuka, and Bayley were spotted at her AEW debut, showing strong sisterhood. Trinity Fatu, also known as Naomi, took to Twitter to share a hilarious sneak peek at the disguises they might have rocked to catch her big moment.

Ahead of AEW Big Business, reports indicated Bayley and Naomi were in Boston, fueling speculation of their attendance to support former WWE co-star Mercedes Mone. Now, Naomi shared a video on social media showing her and Bayley trying on some funny disguises. Tamina Snuka can also be seen in the video.

The caption reads, “#ceo @itsBayleyWWE @MercedesVarnado @TaminaSnuka #MercedesMone.” The hashtags accompanying the video included ‘CEO,’ which happens to be the moniker Mercedes Mone is using in AEW.

Both have a rich history with Mone, including memorable matches such as the first-ever Iron Woman match at NXT TakeOver: Respect on October 7, 2015. However, now it seems like Sasha Banks has chosen a new rival in AEW and soon will have a match with her.

The CEO’s new opponent in AEW

Today, as the AEW Dynamite Big Business show began, Sasha Banks debuted under the persona of Mercedes Mone. Throughout her entire segment, the crowd cheered and chanted “CEO” for her. During her promo, Banks opened up about having an unfinished business with one wrestler. As the show progressed, there was a singles woman match between Willow Nightingale and Riho. After Nightingale won, the fans were waiting for Mercedes Mone to come into action.

However, things took a surprising turn! Instead, they were met by Julia Hart and her associate, Skye Blue. Despite managing to momentarily halt Nightingale with a chop block, their plans were interrupted by Moné’s entrance music. She had a brawl with both of them for helping Nightingale. After that, when they came face-to-face, fans thought they would be drama.

But Nightingale raised Mone’s hand and the show ended. Many fans speculated a match between either the TBS champion Julia Hart or Willow Nightingale herself.
