WATCH: Despite Heated Competition Among Companies, WWE & AEW Roster Stars Join Hands in the Ring

WWE and AEW are rival promotions, competing with each other for viewership and ratings, top talent acquisition, ticket sales, etc. Both companies are always on a quest to outperform the other. Despite the heated competition between the promotions, the stars on both rosters often have cordial relations with one another.

Recently, a camera caught the superstars from WWE and AEW joining hands in the squared circle. They were all having a training session together and seemed to be enjoying each other’s company.

WWE veteran Natalya recently shared videos of wrestling superstars training in The Hart Dungeon on her official Instagram profile. TJ Wilson led the training session. AEW star Ricky Starks and WWE superstars B-Fab, Ashante Thee Adonis, Angelo Dawkins, Jade Cargill, and Odyssey Jones were present there.

The videos that Nattie shared on her social media profile showcased Starks going one-on-one against Street Profits member Angelo Dawkins. He also had a duel with Odyssey Jones. Starks currently works for AEW where he is the one-half of the current AEW World Tag Team Champions alongside Big Bill.

This isn’t the first time the wrestling universe spotted the AEW star in the company of WWE stars. Last year in Royal Rumble, cameras caught him backstage hanging out with former AEW star Cody Rhodes. Considering his penchant for being around WWE territory, could he eventually end up in the promotion?

WWE is interested in signing Ricky Starks in the future

According to the news leaked by BWE in September 2023, WWE is interested in signing Ricky Starks once his contract with AEW expires. This news went viral around the time when the talks of Jade Cargill jumping ship from AEW to WWE made its way to the internet.

WWE has already snatched AEW’s top talent, Cargill, from them, and the promotion is highly interested in doing the same with Starks once he becomes a free agent. The AEW World Tag Team Champion may also be looking forward to joining the promotion as one of his very close friends Rhodes is already present there.

Only time will tell if the AEW wrestler will join the likes of former AEW stars like Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Jade Cargill in WWE or not.
