Dustin Rhodes, who will turn 55 in a few days, is now finding less and less space in All Elite Wrestling shows. With his advancing, and the wrestler himself has stated that he is now very close to retirement. However, this has not stopped him from putting on amazing wrestling matches inside the ring of Jacksonville-based promotion AEW. However, he has not yet managed to win a championship belt in the promotion.
But it seems like his brother, the former Goldust will be looking forward to finishing his story. And that too in just a few days. As surprisingly, he will have a great opportunity against Samoa Joe to fight for the AEW World Championship.

During the latest episode of AEW Collision, taped a few days ago but aired last night, Dustin Rhodes threw down the gauntlet to Samoa Joe. The Natural gave an intense and almost moving speech, reflecting on his career and the fact that he has been greatly underestimated over the years. After also talking about his father, Dusty Rhodes, the former Goldust challenged Samoa Joe to a match for the AEW World Championship.
Under appreciated and Hungry!
As much as the odds are stacked against me…..and how double tough Joe is, I will not falter….I will not fail……I will not quit!!

A short time later came the answer from the Samoan Submission Machine: challenge accepted! The match will not be for the title yet, but if Rhodes manages to defeat Samoa, the next match between the two will be with the belt on the line. This surely has attracted the attention of the fans as they couldn’t help but correlate this with Cody Rhodes‘ ‘Finishing his story’ storyline.

Well, it sure looks like the fans are invested in the storyline. Maybe Tony Khan should book the former Goldust to finish his story before he retires. And let Dustin Rhodes hold the biggest championship belt in his company, too. Something Dusty Rhodes would’ve been proud of. What do you think? Should AEW book Dustin Rhodes to finish his story?
