LeBron James’ Unbelievable Confession to WWE Legend Ric Flair

There is only so much one can do to be an influential entity within their own industry. However, there are some who have not only influenced the younger generation of their industry, but others as well. This is the story of WWE Legend Ric Flair.

During a conversation on The Pivot Podcast, NFL Player Ryan Clark was discussing the impact Flair had on young athletes of Clark’s ethnicity. He believes that Flair was one such legend who managed to break into their circle with his charisma and confidence.

This is when Ric Flair revealed that NBA Legend LeBron James had once revealed to him how much The Nature Boy had influenced him.

“First time I met LeBron, he said, ‘you’re the reason I bought my first Rolex watch and you kept me out of a lot of trouble’.”

Apart from Ryan Clark, even Channing Crowder agreed that The Nature Boy’s overall aura helped him stand out, and make a positive impression on the young men.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion about who is the better athlete. Keeping true to this, The Nature Boy chose LeBron James over Michael Jordan during a conversation with Mark Wadden on his podcast.

He claimed that the stats themselves are proof why James is much higher up the ladder than Jordan. Additionally, Flair has always been a LeBron James supporter, and that could play a heavy role in his judgment.

Nevertheless, he does not think Michael Jordan cannot keep up with James, but just that James is better at this point in time.

“The nice thing about LeBron is being the greatest of all time. Which I still think he is. I love Michael Jordan. But look at the stats and he just keeps playing. I mean, he’s averaging 29 points this year. Guys, come on, 29 what, 9 and 8 or something like that.”

He could change his mind in the future, or maybe he will continue to be a James supporter. Regardless of that, he will always be the man who influenced James for a Rolex Lifestyle!
