Dwayne Johnson has a huge social media presence and fans are always eager to see his posts on the platforms. However, another Hollywood star who has an enormous presence on a few social media platforms other than The Rock is Will Smith.
The WWE legend is always sharing something on social media, but Smith is selective with his content.

But unlike the Black Adam star, Smith comparatively spends less time on social media platforms. Surprisingly, the Men in Black actor has an award that DJ doesn’t have, even though he’s ‘The People’s Champion’.
Dwayne Johnson didn’t win the Crossover Award this year, which Will Smith already won last year
Recently, on December 4, 2022, the YouTube Streamy Awards took place at Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Mr. Beast won the Top Creator award. However, Dwayne Johnson wasn’t able to win the Crossover award this year. The winner of this category was celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey for 2022.
Last year, Will Smith won the award in the same category. The 54-year-old actor was a nominee with the top known figures, like Bill Gates, Hailey Rhode Bieber, Nick Jonas, and Ryan Reynolds. Unfortunately, he wasn’t a nominee in this year’s YouTube Streamy Awards.

Nonetheless, this year the nominees for Crossover categories were Post Malone, Hailey Rhode Bieber, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Gordon Ramsay, and the team called blondebrunetteredhead.
The crossover category is for the public figures who make digital culture platform for best practices in their regular lives.
Shockingly, Johnson is one of the celebs who actively uses social media for the greater good of connecting with his fan. Yet he fell short of winning this award that is held by Will Smith.
It seems The Rock had to appear more on social media next year to win the Crossover award next year. Johnson mostly shares the content of his regular life, workouts, and movies. Similarly, Smith also shares content about his regular life and has embraced Instagram and YouTube very well.

Johnson and Smith rose to success when the internet and social media didn’t exist. While Smith made a name in acting, The Rock was the most ‘Electrifying Superstar’ in WWE. However, after some time when internet and social media usage rose, both the stars are using it to its full potential.

Even though Smith won an award relating to social media, he doesn’t have a following like DJ. ‘The Brahma Bull’ has 350 million followers on Instagram and the 2022 Oscar winner has 62.7 million.
However, DJ rules Twitter with 16.8 million followers, as Smith doesn’t have an account. Fortunately, the Aladdin actor is ahead on YouTuber as he has 9.8 million subscribers, which is more than Johnson, who have 6.24 million subscribers.

No wonder the 10-time world champion wins the battle of having the most followers on the internet. However, when it comes to using Instagram and YouTube, Will Smith is considered the better one.
