We often see Dwayne Johnson in action movies and those are blockbusters, too. He has also done a couple of video game adaptation of films in his career and it seems he might do one more.

Recently, rumors started floating of The Rock is being considered alongside a few actors for the role of Kratos. This is for the live-action adaptation of the God of War game. But the original voice actor of the character also wished to do the role.

Earlier this year, Sony announced a TV series of the game, God of War, coming to Amazon’s Prime Video. However, they haven’t disclosed which game will turn into the show. But the famous character Kratos with be present. 

As the hunt for the actor for Kratos is on, Dwayne Johnson is also in talks for the same. However, the original voice actor Christopher Judge will compete for the role of Kratos against The Great One and the other stars.

Judge shared his aspirations about playing Kratos after replying to a fan tweet. The fan emphasized on why everyone is saying WWE stars Triple H or Braun Strowman are perfect for Kratos.

According to the tweet Judge is there, “LITERALLY THE F**KING GOD OF WAR?!” to play the character in a live action show. Moreover,Judge replied, “Co-sign”

The Stargate SG-1 actor has voiced the iconic character of Kratos in God of War (2018) and 2022’s God of War: Ragnarok. Thus, he became a fan favorite among the gamers who have played God of War.

Which other stars are in rumors to play Kratos ?

Apart from The Rock, Triple H, Braun Strowman, and Christopher Judge, other big names like Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa are also in rumors for the role. In the game, Kratos’ character is one of the most intimidating ones, with his giant physique covered in various scars and tattoos. Therefore, the above mentioned actors are a great fit for the role.

Nevertheless, Judge has a higher chance of portraying Kratos in the Show. But DJ’s movie success might take the role to The Rock. Also, among other WWE stars, there is a major competition to play Kratos in the upcoming God of War Show.

Rampage: A successful video game adaptation movie by Dwayne Johnson 

In 2018, a new movie by The Rock hit the theatres named Rampage. The film is a science fiction action adventure monster film based on the video game series of the same name by Midway Games.

However, the film can be called successful because of its box office collection. Rampage had a budget of around $120–140 million to make the film. However, the movie made wonders, earning almost four times the budget. It earned a massive amount of $428 million worldwide.
