Dwayne Johnson has been married twice in his life. He got married to his current wife Lauren Hashian in 2019, after dating her for a while. However, before Hashian, The Rock was married to Dany Garcia from 1997 to 2008.

Even after getting separated in 2008, Johnson and Garcia are working together as business partners. Recently, The Great One opened up on his relationship with his ex-wife.

While speaking with Sway’s Universe recently, Dwayne Johnson shed a light on his current relationship with Dany Garcia. He called communication to be an important factor that helped them to build the empire that we see today.

The Rock said, “I would say my advice and counsel here would be and it sounds a lot easier said than done, and quite frankly, it is. But man, when you can skillfully communicate your feelings and your intentions and you come to the table with your partner as you guys are either going through a separation or divorce.”

The WWE legend added, “I’ve been there and stuff can get ugly at times when you are having conversations because both sides wanna get heard. But if you get through the sludge and it requires great communication, then on the other of that is usually some greatness.”

Johnson has stated several times about marriage not being in the cards for him and Garcia. However, they knew they have built a successful business and they can have a great professional relationship.

The People’s Champion is satisfied with the fact that both he and Garcia are in a great spot today. They have built successful ventures together and individually. Clearly, as The Rock says, communication brought them to a better place after getting separated.

While talking about the post-separation relationship with Dany Garcia, the Teth Adam actor also recalled the time of the divorce. He shared it was a difficult time, but he overcame it.

Johnson said, “For us, it came down to communication and that wasn’t easy for me because years ago, I would like, a lot of dudes, we’d keep our emotions you know (inside). It goes from a zero to a hundred a lot with us.”

Now, after a decade, Johnson is happily married to Hashian and has started a family again. Meanwhile, Garcia also married Dave Rienzi in 2014 and is happy too. Johnson and Garcia have a daughter, Simone Johnson, who will soon make her on-screen WWE debut.
