Times when Seth Rollins brought the comic con to WWE!

The Visionary is an ardent fan of comic books and several TV series and movies. He has appeared as various characters from Marvel, DC, and also from the HBO hit series Game of Thrones.

Joker – Joaquin Phoenix

This list cannot start without mentioning him recreating Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker in the WrestleMania goes Hollywood commercial. Rollins perfectly recreated the iconic scenes from the movie and it was loved by the fans, too.

The commercial also had Becky Lynch, who arrived at the end. The video package was first shown during the Elimination Chamber and, as expected, it was an instant hit cosplay by Rollins.

Classic comic book Joker

While building-up to his match with Roman Reigns on SmackDown before the Royal Rumble, 2022, Rollins appeared in the show wearing a purple suit, shirt, and pants with a green tie. This was clearly a Joker cosplay by The Visionary that made fans go crazy.

Deadpool

In SummerSlam 2017, Rollins turned into Deadpool from the Ryan Reynolds movie, teaming up with Dean Ambrose to face The Bar for the RAW Tag titles.

Although he didn’t bring any Katana or any chimichanga, but had his own weapon-curb stomp. He won the tag titles that night with Ambrose aka Jon Moxley, who is now in AEW.

‘The Mad Titan’ Thanos makes his way into WWE

In SummerSlam 2018, The Architect wore an attire similar to that donned by Thanos in ‘Avengers:Infinity War’. Rollins competed in a match against Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship at the PLE.

The specialty of the attire was that, unlike Thanos, he had a gauntlet-inspired boot on his leg with infinity stones in it. He surely used the power of the stones to win the title from Ziggler.

X-Men Wolverine

Teaming with his wife Becky Lynch at Extreme Rules 2019, Rollins wanted to match her black and yellow costume. Therefore, The Visionary wore an attire that was seemingly inspired by both Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine costume and the outfits worn by the team in Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s classic New X-Men run.

Rollins and Lynch won the match, but the former Shield member lost his Universal Championship when Brock Lesnar cashed in his Money in the Bank.

Quantum suit from Avengers Endgame

The Architect once again showed that he is a fan of Marvel when he wore an ‘Avengers:Endgame’ outfit. He didn’t cosplay a superhero this time but showed that he was a part of the Avengers by wearing the Quantum suit.

He faced Baron Corbin at WWE Super Showdown in 2019 to defend the Universal Championship he won at WrestleMania 35.

The King Slayer

Rollins is a big fan of the HBO series Game of Thrones. Hence, at WrestleMania 33, he donned the King Slayer character based on Jaime Lannister to slay the ‘King of Kings’ Triple H.

The Visionary’s all-golden suit with a grand entrance clearly paid a magnificent tribute to the show. Moreover, he also defeated Hunter at the grandest stage.

The Night King

The Night King is the leader of the white walkers in the series Game of Thrones. After cosplaying The King Slayer, Rollins took it to the next level at WrestleMania 34, facing The Miz and Finn Balor.

He wore a suit inspired by The Night King and also added blue contact lenses to look more authentic. He won the Intercontinental title at the grandest stage.

When The Architect turned into sports players and WWE legends!

Chicago Bulls comes to WWE

In 2019, Rollins wore the jersey of an NBA team, Chicago Bulls, at Survivor Series 2019. It was a Michael Jordan-era-inspired attire with Rollins printed on it. It might be a tribute to one of the greatest basketball payers from the 36-year-old.

Chicago Bears attire

The former WWE Champion debuted this attire at Royal Rumble 2019, which he even won and punched his ticket to WrestleMania 35. This year he thought of turning into an NFL player and enter the Royal Rumble.

Seth Rollins becomes the “Master of 619”

In 2020, Rey Mysterio and Rollins feuded for a long time. However, during their SummerSlam match, The Visionary brought an old costume of Mysterio. He wore the famous pink gear covered in question marks from WCW’s Halloween Havoc. This was the same outfit that Mysterio wore when he defeated Eddie Guerrero in a Mask vs Title match.

The American Dream

Cody Rhodes and The Monday Night Messiah had the best trilogy in 2022. However, Rollins wore the famous black and yellow Dusty Rhodes attire at Hell in a Cell. The costume played a crucial part in the storytelling in one of their best matches.

Rollins becomes Rob Van Dam

At Extreme Rules last year, Rollins turned up as Mr. Monday Night to face Matt Riddle in a Fight Pit match. This was a clear tribute to Rob Van Dam from The Visionary for his contributions to professional wrestling.

The Shield

The Royal Rumble 2022 saw Seth Rollins mock Roman Reigns by wearing his Shield attire. This was a mind game against The Tribal Chief, to make him emotional over their history. Rollins was the one who ended The Shield and wanted to remind him of the same during the match.

Other pop culture references by Seth Rollins

Elton John

At Clash at the Castle, The Visionary took a page out of Elton John. He wore an outfit that was bright orange and filled with flames, almost like a phoenix. Additionally, he wore a headgear and feathers that will never let us forget this attire of his.

Ben 10

In 2016, Rollins faced Finn Balor to determine the first-ever Universal Champion. He wore an attire of Ben 10 alien-inspired upgrade. It was a good way to show that his character would upgrade after returning to WWE after the brand split.

White Ranger from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Rollins’s white attire from SummerSlam 2015 is one of the best of all time. However, a few fans say it was a cosplay of White Ranger aka Tommy Oliver for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
