The sporting world is full of several moments where athletes across different sports pay tribute to each other. Sometimes, however, these tributes are unintended but appear strikingly similar. The same has recently happened with WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and NBA’s King, LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers stalwart recreated an epic sell made by The Rock way back in The Attitude Era. NBA fans instantly spotted the uncanny and accurate resemblance in the WWE Universe. While Dwayne The Rock Johnson had to make the other guy look good, LBJ emerged as the man on top with his play.

When LeBron James delivered a stunner

A tweet on X showcased a throwback to a classic WWE match between Dwayne Johnson and Stone Cold Steve Austin. The match recorded both wrestlers standing in the squared circle, while Austin delivered his signature move, The stunner, to The Rock. The clip showcased Austin delivering a second stunner to Johnson, which sent him flying with a somersault. Replying to this tweet now, another tweet wrote, “LeBron literally using The Rock’s Stone Cold Stunner sell here (the second one).” The new tweet also shared a clip from LeBron James’ latest match against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Interestingly, LBJ took a fall after a drive to the basket but got back up in the same fashion as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Standing firm on his word, The Great One delivered on his promise, and LeBron James posted a video on Instagram where he showcased the belt. Thanking Dwayne The Rock Johnson, LBJ wrote, “I feel like a little kid again. Thanks again Champ!”
