On SmackDown, Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman made their way to the ring to announce the consequences Jey would face if he lost to Roman at Hell in a Cell. Instead of coming down to the ring, Jey addressed Roman from backstage. Interestingly, he wore a headband and a hat, covering his face almost entirely.

In a shocking turn of events, the man backstage was revealed to be Jimmy Uso, Jey’s brother and tag-team partner. Post that, Jey Uso attacked Reigns from behind and got the upper hand on Reigns.

He hit him with a superkick and the splash from the top rope. While the brothers celebrated their way up the ramp, Heyman handed the mic to Reigns who delivered the consequences to Jey.

If Jey Uso makes Roman Reigns quit, Reigns will fall in line, take orders and acknowledge what he does for the family. However, if Jey loses, his wife and kids are out of the family.

Not just his wife and kids, but Jimmy’s too. Jimmy Uso is married to former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi and has two children, Jayla and Jaidan. Jey also has two sons with his wife Takecia Travis.

Roman Reigns is hellbent on being recognised as the head of the Samoan family. Any person who disrespects him will not have a place at his table. He promises to make everyone understand that actions have consequences.

The segment on SmackDown, followed by the tweet, adds to the depth of his rivalry with Jey Uso. What simply started as the need for recognition has now evolved into ousting the Usos from the family entirely.

This may seem like a hard-sell for their match this Sunday, but the consequences feel very real especially with the odds being in Roman’s favour.

The ‘I Quit’ Hell in a Cell match is a potential show-stealer, and fans cannot wait to see the outcome of the match, and whether the quality will match the stakes. This has become more important than the WWE Universal Championship.
