In a recent tweet, Adam Pearce didn’t hesitate to call out ‘The Hurt Business’ duo over foul play. A curious fan wanted to remind the official of the incident that occurred, precisely 2 years ago on March 1st. The referee took the time to give his two cents on the matter and wrote “They cheated.” Referring to his opponents on the night.

How did Shane McMahon turn the tide of the match?

The Monster of all Monsters brought his A-game against the duo. The 39-year-old landed some devastating spears and hurled Cedric Alexander across the ring with his massive arms. At one point, he took on both his opponents at the same time, with no assistance from his partner. Towards the end, the onetime Universal Champion hit ‘The Gold Standard’ with a running power slam and knocked him out for the count.

However, McMahon insisted on switching with Pearce on the sidelines. Reluctantly, the Abominable took the bait. Ultimately, this gamble made them lose the match, as Benjamin pinned Pearce to the ground with almost no effort. Therefore, they lost the RAW tag team title match to The Hurt Business, as a result of foul play.
